Two Minutes with… Isabella Oreffo

Two Minutes With... is a new regular series of blogs introducing some of the amazing people who work at ITV. Find out what they do, why they do it - and how they got here.

We speak to Bella Oreffo, Project Coordinator in the Experiences team.

Tell us about your role...

I work in the ITV Experiences team - part of M&E Group Marketing - we bring ITV to life by creating industry-leading experiences, unforgettable live events and activations for a range of audiences. As a Project Coordinator, every day brings new and varied challenges; each day I could be collaborating with my team on exciting and creative new briefs, researching new venues, attending production site visits, cleansing data and creating event comms or running around on a delivery day, making sure everything is running smoothly!

What has been the highlight of working in the Experiences team?

The sheer breadth of the different projects we work on! The summer is always a jam-packed season, and we often have numerous projects on the go at any one time. This year, I was lucky enough to collaborate with a number of different business areas on a range of productions - from the ITV Summer Reception (Public Affairs), the ITV Producers’ Briefings series (Commissioning), Pride in London (ITV Pride), Big Brother Insider (Commercial) and brand partnership events on the set of Coronation Street.

What’s the best thing about your role?

I have treasured being able to see an event come to life and work in a team that gets to showcase and promote the best of ITV. It is really rewarding to play a pivotal role in creating meaningful connections and memorable moments for our audiences.

What’s the best bit of advice you’ve ever been given?

Find comfortable shoes and order multiple pairs! When curating events and experiences, we often spend a lot of time working hard behind the scenes, so nothing beats a comfy shoe (especially on the Cobbles)!

What’s your favourite thing about working at ITV?

The inclusive and celebratory culture we have at ITV. One of the privileges I’ve had since working at ITV was working with the ITV Pride Network to lead on ITV’s presence at Pride in London this summer. It was an unforgettable day that brought together colleagues from across ITV’s wider D&I networks, where we were able to celebrate our individuality, feel valued and seen. Walking along Piccadilly accompanied by an inflatable, a marching band and cheers from the crowd, I felt proud to work for the brand and it truly demonstrated that “ITV is for everyone”!
